Dubner Moderne a le plaisir d'annoncer une nouvelle exposition individuelle de l'artiste David Gaither, du 28 septembre au 11 novembre 2017 intitulé "Look a Little Closer". Le vernissage et apéritif aura lieu jeudi 28 septembre dès 18h en présence de l'artiste.

Dans l'expansivité d'un monde entrelacé de couleur, abstraction, collage et symbolisme, la peinture de David Gaither est une expérience immergée dans le maximalisme. Vif, complexe et comprenant un catalogue de références imaginatives, Gaither nous mène sur un voyage à travers des dimensions hyper-chargées et des réalités qui défient les contraintes spatiales de la toile. L’exposition, Look a Little Closer, est constituée pour la plupart des instantanées circulaires qui se concentrent sur des interactions de couleur et forme qui ont eu un rôle déterminant dans l’ensemble de son travail. A ce titre, l’exposition est à la fois une étude du processus ainsi qu’un regard attentif à sa déclaration d’artiste.

Né en 1977 à Atlanta, USA, l’œuvre de David Gaither a connu du succès lors des expositions aux Etats-Unis et en 2016 le Musée Tubman d’art afro-américain lui a accordé une exposition individuelle.

Dubner Moderne is pleased to announce a new solo exhibition, "Look a Little Closer" by the artist David Gaither from May 9th until July 1st 2017. The vernissage and cocktail will take place on Thursday September 28th from 18h in the presence of the artist.

In an expansive, intertwining world of color, abstraction, collage and symbolism, the painting of David Gaither is an immersive experience in maximalism. Energetic, complex and with a catalogue of imaginative references, Gaither leads us on journeys through hyper-charged dimensions and realities that challenge the spatial constraints of the canvas. The exhibition, "Look a Little Closer", comprised mostly of circular snapshots focuses on particular interactions of color and shape that have been instrumental to the artist’s larger body of work. As such, the exhibition is both a study of process as well as being a careful look at statement.

Born in 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia, David Gaither's work has been exhibited regularly throughout the US and recently the Tubman Museum of African American Art presented a solo exhibition of his work.
